How to use Incozol 2

Function: Moisture scavenger for 2K polyurethane and polyaspartic systems

Typical Addition Level: 2–5% by weight on total formulation

Incorporation: Add during the final mixing stage, after moisture content is below 300 ppm

Conditions: Mix under nitrogen or vacuum to avoid moisture ingress

Formulation Tips

  • Ensure all raw materials are dry; pre-dry pigments and fillers if necessary
  • Use Karl Fischer titration to confirm water content < 300 ppm before adding Incozol® 2
  • Allow 18–24 hours for Incozol® 2 to react with residual moisture before adding reactive diluents
  • In polyaspartic systems, Incozol® 2 can replace 8–10% of the polyaspartic resin

Troubleshooting

Bubbles or pinholes

Possible Cause: Moisture in formulation, in substrate or in atmosphere.

Reccomendation: Increase Incozol® 2 loading or improve drying

Short potlife in polyaspartic

Possible Cause: Moisture accelerating isocyanate reaction.

Reccomendation: Use Incozol® 2 to scavenge water before mixing.

Cloudy finish in clearcoat

Possible Cause: Moisture or incompatible additives.

Reccomendation: Ensure all additives are dry and compatible.
