Incorez has launched Aldirez® 211, a new moisture activated blocked diamine crosslinker engineered to improve cure speed, surface finish and long term durability in polyurethane and polyaspartic systems.

Designed for formulators working with moisture curing and ambient cure technologies, Aldirez® 211 delivers controlled, on demand crosslinking that performs reliably in variable humidity - without requiring changes to existing formulations or processing conditions.

Addressing Cure Control and Finish Challenges

Formulators of polyurethane and polyaspartic systems frequently face challenges such as slow or inconsistent cure, difficult trade‑offs between pot life and reactivity, and surface defects caused by uncontrolled moisture reactions. These issues can limit early strength development, delay return‑to‑service times and compromise surface quality.

Aldirez®‑211 has been developed to directly address these challenges. Supplied as a stable, low‑viscosity liquid, the amine functionality remains blocked during storage, preventing premature reaction. During application, exposure to moisture triggers deblocking, releasing an active diamine that reacts rapidly with isocyanate groups to form strong urea crosslinks.

The result is fast, more predictable curing, improved film formation and a tougher, more durable polymer network.

Fast Cure Without Changing Your Process

Aldirez®‑211 is designed as a drop‑in solution. It is compatible with existing equipment, workflows and formulation strategies, allowing performance improvements without process disruption.

Compared with conventional amine approaches, Aldirez®‑211 accelerates moisture cure while maintaining formulation flexibility. This enables earlier handling and fast return to service, even under ambient or humid application conditions.

By controlling moisture‑triggered reactions more effectively, Aldirez®‑211 also helps reduce defects such as bubbling and blistering, supporting more consistent surface finishes across a wide range of environments.

Durable Performance for Demanding Applications

The cycloaliphatic structure of Aldirez®‑211 contributes to excellent weatherability and UV stability, making it suitable for demanding industrial and outdoor applications. The formation of dense urea crosslinks enhances toughness, abrasion resistance and chemical durability, supporting long‑term performance in aggressive service conditions.

Typical Applications

Aldirez®‑211 is particularly well suited for:

Industrial and protective coatings

Flooring systems

Automotive coatings and components

Marine and infrastructure coatings

Across these applications, Aldirez®‑211 supports fast cure, improved finish quality and enhanced durability - without compromising existing formulation approaches.
